At Vancouver Island Womens Clinic, we are a specialty clinic that offers a range of services for women during your reproductive years, or the years from when your periods start until menopause. Our services and facility are accredited by the Diagnostic Accreditation Program of the BC College of Physicians and Surgeons, and the National Abortion Federation.

Our services include screening for sexually transmitted infections (STI) and cervical cancer (PAP and HPV vaccine). In our confidential setting we can provide management of miscarriage, unplanned pregnancy (abortion) and contraception needs (including IUDs). We do screening ultrasounds and Rh testing on site, so you can get most of the testing you need in one location.

Our nursing staff are specially qualified in contraception education.

Our physicians (all women) are accredited in a range of skills including early pregnancy ultrasounds, Rh testing and IUD insertion.  They maintain annual educational competency in those areas, so that they are fully up-to-date, and participate in training and research in womens health.

COVID-19 Update!

According to BC’s Chief Medical Health Officer as of May 19th, 2020 non-urgent health care services can restart. The directive from the Chief Medical Health Officer is that enhanced pre-screening protocols must continue.
